this MANSFIELD FAIRFIELD editor

yeah, im bidding on a MANSFIELD FAIRFIELD editor for 8MM film and i was wondering if you can jimmy-rigg it to take super 8 film??? i was under the impression that it doesn't feed by sproket holes, so no problem, right??? i have regular 8 film i need to edit, but it would help seeing as ive got a super 8 camera...anyhoo, my CANON works now, FINALLY!!! thanks a bunch
